A japanophile is a non-Japanese person who is extremely interested in Japanese culture. Online, including on the Tales forums, it is often used derogatorily to designate those who greatly enjoy Japanese anime, manga, video games, or J-pop and base all of their knowledge of Japan off these sources, usually leading to general misconceptions and, often, failure. It is unknown at the time if the Tales forums Register button will work for those people who have no japanophilic spirit in them.
